Today was a heart warming Christmas Sunday at church! Dallin was able to be a part of reenacting the Christmas story of Christ's birth in Primary, he was a shepherd boy, he loved it, and has talked about it all evening. There is a similar example in the Friend magazine this month of President Monson being a wise man in a play and what an impression that made on him as a young boy. So, Dallin remembered that story and said he was also able to be in a play today like our Prophet. A good teaching moment for him. And The past two weeks his favorite song to sing at bedtime is 'Angels we heave heard on high', i love thinking about the Angels that sung that glorious evening. It's such a magical time of year remembering the birth of our Savior and all the beautiful songs that uplift and fill our hearts with joy.
Rolo made this manger a few weeks ago for me for what we did in Primary. The past three Sundays the primary kids have done extra acts of kindness so they can add hay to the manger to make it soft for baby Jesus. And then today they reenacted the whole story. It was a touching moment for the kids to place a baby in the soft manger!
