GORGEOUS SUNSET with a beautiful rainbow

"Somewhere over the rainbow- way
up high
in the land
that I heard of once
Once in a lullaby

Somewhere over the rainbow- skies
are blue
and the dreams
that you dare to dream
really do come true"

tonight at the dinner table we were talking about rainbows, so it was a nice surprise to end the evening with a double rainbow in the sky after all the wind and rain today. when i looked out the window at sunset i had to go get Dallin out of bed and go outside and enjoy the inspiring site of a rainbow
"and think to myself what a wonderful world"

We Discovered Baby Duck Eggs

under a tree in the front of our house

A month ago i noticed two ducks hanging around the front of our house but did not realize until this Saturday that the Mommy duck has laid some eggs under our tree.

What another great way to enjoy spring, we are looking forward to seeing some baby ducks in our yard :)

allison has also enjoyed every chance she can get to escape outside and play in the grass, she loves the outdoors, and is extremely unhappy if you try and bring her back inside :)

we had a busy weekend with friends, dance lessons, soccer game, birthday party, and all our Saturday duties/chores. Why do Saturdays go so quickly and why is there always so much to cram into the day.

Dallin's art work drawn on a package for his friends party at the park

and these are a couple pictures of many that were taken by some silly kids that i found on my camera. it's always a nice surprise and very interesting to see the kids taking pictures of themselves.

(apparently cinnamon the bear was having a bad Saturday morning and Dallin was crying for him :)

Dallin's First soccer game of the season

Posted by Picasa
Dallin started his first soccer game off with a quick sprint to the goal
and scored the first point of the game!

He has caught on to the whole idea of the game this year and is one determined little soccer player!

He and his new buddy Edgar played extremely well together on the field. It was fun to watch there fast feet move, they had a great time!

Rolo is the Coach this year, and is proud of his boy, they have a good team!

Faith

one of my favorite talks from General Conference

“And upon the Handmaids in Those Days Will I Pour Out My Spirit”

Julie B. Beck

Relief Society General President

I have felt that there has never been a greater need for increased FAITH and personal righteousness. There has never been a greater need for strong families and homes. There has never been more that could be done to help others who are in need. How does one increase FAITH, strengthen families, and provide relief? How does a woman in our day find answers to her own questions and stand strong and immovable against incredible opposition and difficulty?

With personal revelation, she can prioritize correctly and navigate this life confidently.

Having the Spirit of revelation makes it possible to prevail over opposition and persist in FAITH through difficult days and essential routine tasks. Personal revelation gives us the understanding of what to do every day to increase FAITH and personal righteousness, strengthen families and homes!

Happy April Fool's Day

The day was filled with lots of silly jokes and pranks. Some jokes ended in tears because Dallin kept on teasing Penny she had bugs and spiders on her and then she got paranoid.

We made Bunnies out of old socks for a craft!

Grandma Wright has been here, and the kids have loved every moment of playing with her!

We ended the evening with a April Fool's dinner of Mashed Potatoes and Gravy (ice-cream and caramel sauce) and peas (skittles)

Penny does not like mashed potatoes so I was expecting an instant whine of what was on her plate but i couldn't fool my little SWEETheart. She knew it was something yummy :)

Road Trip to Utah

The kids are at a good age now for traveling, they were so good the whole trip! It helps to give them lots of sugar, a McDonald's Happy Meal with a toy and a redbox movie to watch. Penny loved watching the movie "ThePrincess and the Frog"
