Our Birthday Boy

Mr. D. is SEVEN :) Dallin started his morning by eating banana pancakes with his Daddy and opening a couple presents from Grandma Wright and Tia Paula.(Thank you, he loved the gifts) We will be taking a treat to school for him this afternoon. And after Family night Dallin and I will be going on a special date, just the two of us. He will be having a Birthday party on Saturday. This past saturday we went to Home Depot to buy some stuff to make marshmallow guns for his party. He will be having a Star Wars Birthday and they can pretend to be Droids with there guns. Good times ahead.

Santa was at Home Depot and they also had a craft for the kids to put together.

Allison was O.K with sitting on Santa's lap but she didn't want to look at him :)

We had a wonderful Sunday yesterday! We watched the Christmas Devotional while we gathered around our decorated tree and sipped some hot chocolate with lots of marshmallows. And after the devotional the kids were gifted with a new ornament. Then visited with friends. I love how all the sweet memories of Christmas can fill your heart with so much joy.
It's the BEST time of the year!

Penny loves this Christmas coat from ma♥key and this sweet doll was given to me nine years ago from my nieces in Panguitch and now it is claimed by my beautiful blue eyed daughter. Penny really wanted a picture in there matching red coats. Isn't it so sweet!

Cousin Tasha's Baptism

(Conrad and Tasha)
Tasha was going to explode with joy.
She was so thrilled that she was getting baptized. It was a special day for Tasha and Uncle Rolo was glad to be there and be able to baptize and confirm her a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Cousin Braxdon's Birthday Party

The kids had so much fun at Braxdon's Pirate Party! Every detail of his party was AMAZING!

The kids on the pirate ship!
That night when the kids were trying to fall asleep they kept on talking about the Party and how cool everything was!
There Aunt Paula is very creative and we were glad we could be there for the party!

Our road trip to UTAH for Thanksgiving

The day we decided to leave for Utah we headed straight into a Blizzard, we were hoping to beat the bad weather. The roads were awful and we feel so blessed to have traveled safely. There were a lot of accidents. We had to stop in Twin Falls for a full day because of road closures. The kids had a good time at the Motel, lots of TV time, snacks and unlimited hot chocolate :0

We finally arrived at Abuelo's House

The kids love Grandpa's old brick home, his front room is filled with toys to play with.

Thanksgiving Dinner with the Rocha Cousins

Allison loved the corn and Penny loved the olives, easy to please :)

The Dinner was prepared by Tia Daisy, she did an excellent job getting it all ready! We were all surprised with the announcement of Uncle Conrad's new wife. It was a nice, relaxing Thanksgiving with family!

The first snow fall of 2010

Today i am most grateful for my Husband and my three beautiful kids.
We had a wonderful evening of playing outside in the snow, came inside and warmed up by eating a yummy bowl of Broccoli cheese soup.
(I used your recipe JJ and it was delicious.)
Baked some chocolate chip cookies, filled the kiddos tummies with sugar and sent them to bed.
One word to sum it all up
- BLESSED -
truly blessed to have days like today!

despite the look on Allison's face in the pictures above(she was intenionally not smiling for me :)
she did have FUN outside in the snow!

here's a SMILE for you :)

Thanks for Thanksgiving Book

i saw this book shown on another blog-MartaWrites. I love the pictures, it looks similar to our house with playing music on the piano, dancing to music, with the girls in there ballerina outfits, and my kitchen table is always covered with lots of crayons and white paper with art work being done.

dressing up as little indian girls, going for a bike ride and playing in the fall leaves, cuddling in warm blankets and watching a funny movie, new warm pajamas, reading books before bed.

I am thankful for the fall season
and all the simple comforts and pleasures it brings!

My baby girl . . .

is not a baby anymore, today was her first day in Nursery!

i am happy to report that for the past two weeks she has been sleeping through the night. It has been a long 18 months of not very much sleep. And she is finally no longer nursing :) She is a MaMa's girl 100% and has been my most attached kid. It's hard for me to watch my babies grow up so fast, it does not last long enough!

These next few pictures show how Allison loves to wear her tutu -

She wakes up wanting to put it on and dances to music, she eats lunch with it on and wears it before she goes to bed.

and this picture of Penny holding her baby/toddler sister, shows how big she is getting. This day she fell asleep cuddling with her big sister. A priceless moment!
