The day was filled with lots of silly jokes and pranks. Some jokes ended in tears because Dallin kept on teasing Penny she had bugs and spiders on her and then she got paranoid.
We made Bunnies out of old socks for a craft!
Grandma Wright has been here, and the kids have loved every moment of playing with her!
We ended the evening with a April Fool's dinner of Mashed Potatoes and Gravy (ice-cream and caramel sauce) and peas (skittles)
Penny does not like mashed potatoes so I was expecting an instant whine of what was on her plate but i couldn't fool my little SWEETheart. She knew it was something yummy :)
The kids are at a good age now for traveling, they were so good the whole trip! It helps to give them lots of sugar, a McDonald's Happy Meal with a toy and a redbox movie to watch. Penny loved watching the movie "ThePrincess and the Frog"
I only have two pictures from our trip :( I couldn't find my camera it was hiding in the van!
Baby Allison did well traveling! i sure do love her perfect little nose and lips and chubby cheeks!
Rolo had a work conference to attend so we decided to tag along for fun! The kids LOVE going to Aunt Becky's house in Idaho Falls! They had a GREAT time!
the little leprechauns MIKE & IKE came to give D. and Penny some Gold this morning :)
This is so random and a true story - We were sitting and eating our Lucky Charms at the table this morning and while eating we heard on the baby monitor a voice say "hurry hurry it's time to go" totally random and Dallin is now convinced that Leprechauns are real and they were sneaking out of baby Allisons room :) Apparently the baby monitor picked up some voices from someone close by, i have told Dallin before that leprechauns are not real and it is just for fun but now he believes differently. O' man, what do you do? do you let him believe or tell him it was just some random voices we heard? O' the excitement of little kids!
lovely floral measuring cups and apron from Anthropologie!
and i would love to be in the kitchen baking these cookies
Alfajores
(a favorite South American pastry(one of my hubbies childhood treats), are cookies filled with delicious caramel, dulce de leche, and rolled in coconut to make a buttery-rich for an afternoon tea, a special dessert or an anytime snack.)
(pictures from the magazine Better Homes and Gardens)
i am excited to start planting our garden this year, hopefully one more week and our garden will be ready. We will start with planting lots of snow peas, and my tulips and daffodils are already coming up. I will be planting LOTs snd LOTs of flowers this year :)
you can tell it is Spring outside! yesterday we had sunshine and today is rainy, I love it! The more rain the greener everything will be. So we spent the day inside playing games, doing puzzles & baking cookies :)
(the kids & maggie waiting and watching for DADDY to come home)
around five o'clock pm the kids and DOG start getting wild at our house, they are anxious for their Daddy to come home. Maggie starts barking at every sound she hears, thinking it is Daddy, the kids start teasing her and yelling Daddy, it is funny to watch!!!
Today is a beautiful spring day I spent the morning outside soaking in the warmth of the Sun Hello Spring I have missed you and i am so happy you have returned!
my daffodils are blooming, i love the color yellow kids had fun playing outside the picture below is Dallin playing with his bears, Lately he has been doing so well reading, and one of the books he likes to read is 'BEARS on WHEELS'
