yesterday I sewed a batman cape for Dallin's favorite bear so he could have a costume too :)

---We have a tub of Halloween stuff that the kids can pull out costumes and toys and have fun entertaining themselves for the Holiday.

BOO-lagna sandwiches, Grilled Cheese Jack-o-lanterns, oranges with faces drawn on the outside, Mummy pizzas, Bone breadsticks, a party with frosted cookies, ghost suckers, candy corn and cashews, donuts and lots of candy from the trunk or treat on saturday - all of this is on our food menu this week

My poor little guy has been sick this last week with the SWINE FLU, he handled it well. He did get an ear infection with it, and then his ear drum ruptured, that was the worst part of the illness. Now Penny has the virus and we are keeping our fingers crossed that the rest of us stay healthy! This swine flu is interesting how fast it spreads! I'm glad that the symptoms are not really bad. Dallin's highest temp. was 102 and he had a cough for three days and then he was better. Thank goodness for Tylenol and Ibuprofen to keep the fever down.

General Conference Weekend

• Penny went to a Birthday Party, Friday afternoon

• Friday Night - Date night - our turn to watch the kids! I love watching the kids have so much fun playing together, it's a little chaotic but good times for the kiddos. And GREAT for the Parents ;)
  

• Saturday & Sunday- Listened to General Conference and ate lots of candy and yummy food, and most of all uplifted by the love and counsel from our Prophet and Apostles!

• Sewed Halloween pillowcases

and

• now today i am annoyed because i washed and dryed a load of laundry with a RED CRAYON, so i get to have fun scrubbing the inside of the dryer and all the clothes this Monday morning, thank goodness for OXI CLEAN!

There are a lot of hair clip ideas out in the blog world, this morning i made penny a Mary Engelbriet style flower clip, out of felt, inspired by this gals many felt clips (picture below), i love the cupcake ones, i want to make one with a mini heart on top of a cupcake for Penny. Penny always says her name is

"PENNY SWEET HEART"!!

Synchronized Swimming - Talent Show

Last Saturday we had a ward talent show and my visiting teaching group had a great time putting together a skit. I don't have any pictures but if you GOOGLE synchronized swimming talent show you can see the general idea of what we did. It was a lot of fun! We wore swim caps and goggles. We drew swimsuits on white t-shirts and put together a fun routine. We performed up on a stage behind a blue tarp that was our pretend water. We had a blast and it was funny for the audience! GOOD TIMES!

Growing up way to FAST!

My little man is growing up way to fast!

This morning as we knelt down to pray before Dallin left for school he wanted to say the prayer and he said "thank you for letting me learn new words in spanish" That really touched my heart and i am so grateful that he has an oppurtunity to go to a dual language school. He loves coming home and teaching us new words that he learns!!!

Happy Birthday Cinnamon & Tica

Dallin and Penny love parties and especially celebrating their stuffed animals birthdays! According to Dallin Cinnamon's birthday is every Monday :) We celebrated this birthday party with a healthy treat. Pears and cottage cheese with Sprinkles :)

The kids received music cards in the mail from their cousins, Aunts and Grandma. Allison even enjoyed listening to the songs :) THANK YOU!

Labor Day weekend

On labor day we did some house chores with an incentive that when we were done we would take a little road trip to Weiser ID. The kids worked hard and fast! They packed there back packs with books, got their pillows and stuffed animals to take a little nap on the ride and we were off.





Penny actually fell asleep while the rest of us listened to Dallin's favorite song on repeat the whole hour drive.

We only spotted one wild animal on the road trip ;)

We enjoyed the afternoon in a small town and the kids thought it was so cool to go to a town with the same name as the song they love.
